These general conditions of sale (CGV) define the terms of sale and delivery of products marketed by OVI, a company specializing in the sale of filtering water bars, filters, water bottles and accessories set of food products (hereinafter referred to as the “Products”).
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all sales concluded between OVI and its customers (hereinafter referred to as the "Customers"), whether individuals or companies. Identification of the OVI company:

Products
The Products sold by OVI are filter water bars, filters, water bottles and accessories and food products. The filtering water bars are to be installed directly into the water network and can be installed by the Customer or by an independent service provider. Filters must be purchased exclusively from OVI. The Products are guaranteed for two years, except for exclusions specified further in these General Terms and Conditions.
Control
Orders can be placed online on the website (www.ovibar.com), by telephone or by email.
For any order, the Customer must provide the information necessary for delivery of the Products (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address). The order will be considered final after confirmation from OVI. OVI also reserves the right to cancel or refuse an order in the event of technical or regulatory impossibility of installing the Equipment in the location indicated by the Customer and noted after placing the order or in the event of costs of actual installation whose value proves to exceed double the installation costs provided for in the contract.
Shipping
Delivery costs are indicated at the time of ordering and may vary depending on the location of delivery and the weight of the Products. Delivery times may also vary depending on the availability of the Products and logistical conditions.
In the event of a delivery delay beyond 30 days, OVI undertakes to inform the Customer as soon as possible and to provide a new estimate of the delivery date. Any delay in delivery does not entitle the Customer to damages or cancellation of the order, unless otherwise expressly stipulated in these General Terms and Conditions or provided for by law.
The Customer is required to check the condition of the Products delivered upon receipt. In the event of apparent damage, the Customer must refuse delivery or make written reservations to the carrier and inform OVI within 24 hours, in order to allow OVI to take the necessary measures.
Installation of the filtering water bar
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the water supply is located at a maximum distance of 3 meters from the filtering water bar. OVI cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from incorrect installation or the use of unsuitable equipment. The customer can choose to have the bar installed by a service provider of their choice, but OVI cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from installation by a third party.
Customer installation clause:
- In the event of installation of the Products by the customer himself, OVI declines all responsibility with regard to possible water leaks, water damage, or any material or immaterial damage resulting from the installation. The customer is responsible for ensuring that installation is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations provided in the installation video materials accessible directly on the OVI website. OVI strongly recommends that the customer uses a qualified professional for the installation of the Products in order to minimize any risk of problems.
- The customer is responsible for carefully verifying the installation of the Products after their installation. If leaks or installation problems are discovered, the customer must immediately discontinue use of the Products and contact OVI customer service for instructions on how to remedy the situation. In the event of poor installation, the Plumber in charge of the installation will be required to remedy it and held responsible.
- If the Products are installed by the customer himself or by a third party not approved by OVI and water damage or any problem damaging the device following non-compliant installation, the warranty on the Products will be automatically canceled, and OVI will not be liable for any damages resulting from improper installation, improper use or any other installation-related issues. It is the customer's responsibility to carefully follow the instructions provided by OVI for correct and safe installation.
Maintenance and upkeep
Draining the water tanks
The customer, whether an individual or a company, agrees to systematically drain the machine's water tanks if they will be away for more than 72 hours to prevent water stagnation. This operation is essential to guarantee water quality and protect the health of users.
Annual cleaning and disinfection
Once a year, the customer agrees to clean the inside of the machine and disinfect it using a descaling solution. This operation ensures the proper functioning of the appliance and maintains optimal hygiene.
Mandatory installation of pressure reducer and pre-filter
A limescale pre-filter is supplied with the OVI II. For durability reasons, its installation is mandatory. A pressure reducer is integrated directly into the unit.
This limescale pre-filter is not supplied with the OVI I; it is available for purchase on our website, in the "Accessories" section. For durability reasons, it is strongly recommended that you purchase it and install it upstream of the supplied pressure reducer.
Price and Payment
Product prices are shown in euros, excluding VAT and VAT, but excluding delivery charges. Value Added Tax (VAT) is that in effect on the date of the order. Any change in the applicable rate may be reflected in the prices.
Prices include any applicable discounts, particularly those obtained through promotional codes, offered by the Seller. OVI reserves the right to change its prices at any time, but Products will be billed at the price in effect at the time of order confirmation. Payment can be made online on the OVI website by credit card, or by check or bank transfer.
OVI also offers payment and credit or rental options in partnership with Younited and Grenke, whose general terms and conditions of OVI's financial partners will be automatically accepted by the Customer in the event of recourse to these services.
Warranty and exclusions
The Products sold by OVI are guaranteed for two years from the date of delivery, except for the exclusions specified below. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the Products. The warranty exclusions are as follows: any breakdown due to incorrect connection of the device or the water pressure at the customer's premises or any improper use of the device is excluded from the warranty. The warranty does not apply in the event of breakage or opening of the device. Products must be used in accordance with the operating instructions provided by OVI. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, incorrect installation or improper maintenance of the products.
OVI reserves the right to add shipping costs for product returns as well as for shipments within the framework of After-Sales Service (SAV), including within the framework of the guarantee. These costs will be communicated to the customer before the return or shipment of the products concerned.
Warranty exclusions
The two-year warranty, from the date of delivery, only covers manufacturing defects in OVI products. However, certain exclusions apply:
- Use exceeding recommended capacities : OVI fountains are designed for optimal use by a maximum of 15 people. Using the device by more people may cause the motor to overload, thereby affecting its operation. In such a case, the warranty will not apply. We recommend that companies or individuals considering use for a higher volume acquire one or more additional units in order to maintain optimal performance. The use of a single machine for an excessive number of people does not qualify for the warranty.
- Bad connection or inappropriate water pressure : Any breakdown resulting from poor connection or inappropriate water pressure, in particular pressure exceeding 4 bars, is excluded from the guarantee. It is essential to ensure that the installation meets the conditions required for the proper operation of the machine.
- Improper use : The warranty is excluded in the event of misuse, including, but not limited to, any breakage, unauthorized opening of the device, or failure to follow the instructions for use provided by OVI.
- Temperature and noise issues : The temperature displayed in the parameters corresponds to that measured inside the machine's tanks. It is normal that there is a slight difference between this temperature and that measured in the glass or cup. This temperature difference, like the noise generated by the device, does not constitute a reason for after-sales service (after-sales service) and is not covered by the warranty.
- Limescale residues OVI filters are designed to reduce the limescale content of water, but cannot eliminate it completely. The presence of limescale residue, particularly in areas with very hard water, is not a valid reason for warranty service and is therefore not covered. Any malfunction caused by excessive limescale buildup is not covered by the warranty.
Filters
The customer agrees to purchase the filters exclusively from OVI or its reseller partners. The filters sold on the site www.ovibar.com are only compatible with filtering water bars marketed by OVI. The customer is responsible for regularly replacing filters in accordance with the instructions provided by OVI. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from the use of unauthorized filters or failure to replace filters within the recommended time frame.
The customer undertakes to use exclusively the filters offered by OVI with the filtering water bars marketed by OVI. The use of filters of any other brand or origin is strictly prohibited. In the event of non-compliance with this clause, OVI reserves the right to terminate the Product warranty without notice. »
Clause for exceeding the lifespan of filters:
The lifespan of the filters offered by OVI is specified in the instructions provided by OVI. The customer is responsible for replacing filters within the manufacturer's recommended time frame. If the lifespan of the filters is exceeded or if the filters are not replaced in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, OVI assumes no responsibility for the quality of the filtered water, health risks, water damage or any degradation. resulting from this improper use. The Product warranty will be voided in such cases.
Serenity Pack
The Serenity Pack, offered as an annual paid option, includes the supply of replacement filters for a period of one year as well as an extended warranty service.
Pricing and conditions: The price applicable to the Pack is specified on the site www.ovibar.com or on quote. OVI reserves the right to modify the content or price of the Serenity Pack, the conditions in force at the time of renewal applying for the year concerned.
Supply of filters: The Pack includes the sending of one additional set of filters per year, up to a limit of two sets in total, taking into account the set of filters already supplied with the machine upon delivery.
Warranty Extension: The Pack extends the initial warranty by one year. This extension is renewable annually, for a maximum period of 5 consecutive years from the date of delivery of the device, provided that the Pack is subscribed to and maintained without interruption each year.
In the event of interruption of the Serenity Pack, the additional guarantee ceases definitively, even in the event of subsequent subscription.
Responsability
The OVI company cannot be held liable in the event of force majeure, as defined by the case law of the French courts. The OVI company cannot be held responsible for damages of any nature, whether material, immaterial or bodily, which could result from malfunction or inappropriate use of the products sold.
Personal data
OVI is committed to protecting the confidentiality of the information provided by the buyer, which is strictly necessary for processing the order. This data will only be used for the purpose of fulfilling the buyer's order and may be shared with OVI's contractual partners involved in order fulfillment. In accordance with the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978, the buyer has the right to access, rectify, object to, and delete their personal data. Intellectual property rights
All elements of the website or paper media of the company OVI are and remain the intellectual and exclusive property of the latter. Any simple or hypertext link is strictly prohibited without the express written consent of the OVI company.
Title retention clause
The OVI company retains full ownership of the products sold until full payment of the price, in principal, costs and taxes included. In the event of total or partial non-payment, the OVI company may claim the products sold, the sale will be automatically terminated if the OVI company sees fit and may give rise to the award of damages for the benefit of the company. OVI.
Litigation
These general conditions of sale are subject to French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action. In the absence of an amicable agreement between the parties, any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Paris.
Force majeure
The Parties cannot be held responsible if the non-performance or delay in the performance of any of their obligations, as described herein, results from a case of force majeure, within the meaning of article 1218 of the Civil Code.
"Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back"
Definition and scope of the guarantee
OVI is committed to offering its customers a 30-day "satisfaction guaranteed or your money back" guarantee from the date of purchase of any device on its website. This guarantee allows the customer to return the purchased device if they are not fully satisfied with their purchase for any reason whatsoever.
Conditions of eligibility
To benefit from this warranty, the returned product must be in new condition, without any signs of wear, use or damage. The product must be returned with all its original accessories, manuals and packaging. Returns of products damaged, modified or otherwise altered after delivery to the customer will not be accepted.
Return and Refund Process
Legal right of withdrawal (14 days)
In accordance with Articles L221-18 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the Customer has a period of 14 days from receipt of the Product to exercise their legal right of withdrawal, without having to justify their decision.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Customer. OVI will refund the price of the Product (excluding delivery charges) within a maximum of 14 days following receipt of the returned Product in good condition.
Commercial guarantee “Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back – 30 days”
Regardless of the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, OVI offers a commercial “Satisfied or refunded – 30 days” guarantee, allowing the Customer to return the Product within 30 days from the date of purchase.
The terms and conditions of this commercial guarantee are described in the "Money-Back Guarantee" section.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, modifications, improper installations, or any other treatment not in accordance with the instructions provided by OVI.
Warranty modification
OVI reserves the right to modify the terms of the money-back guarantee at any time. Any modification will be effective immediately after its publication in the General Conditions of Sale.
